Duo arrested in Chapmanville B&E

CHAPMANVILLE Two Logan County men were arrested for breaking and entering, amongst other charges, on Labor Day


On September fifth, 30 year-old James Gregory Farley II and 19 year-old Clinton Blake Whitt, were charged with felony counts of breaking and entering and burglary, as well as a misdemeanor charge of destruction of property.


Farley and Whitt were arrested around midnight at the Chapmanville Rock Quarry. Logan County Deputies responded to a call when the duo were spotted in a building. Security footage provided by the caller showed Farley and Whitt wandering about the building. After further investigation, deputies alleged the two men had cut the lock off the door and destroyed a game camera used for surveillance purposes.

The suspects were detained on a four-wheeler before being arrested.


Whitt’s bail currently stands at $50,000 due to an additional four warrants in his name, including burglary, grand larceny, receiving or transferring stolen goods, and petit larceny. Farley’s bail stands at $20,000.
