CHARLESTON The West Virginia Department of Human Services will begin accepting applications for the Emergency Low Income Energy Assistance Program on Monday, July 28.


The program is designed to help low-income households facing an energy emergency. Applications will be accepted through Friday, August 8th, or until funding runs out.


To qualify, households must meet income guidelines and show proof of a utility shutoff notice or a low supply of bulk fuel. Applications must be submitted in person at a local Department of Human Services office.
