SWITZER House fire at Switzer in Logan County called out firefighters early Sunday morning.

The fire was in a large two-story home on Steele Street and reported around one o’clock Sunday morning. There were initial reports of an entrapment, but West Virginia State Police confirmed while fire crews were en route that all occupants made it out of the structure safe. A juvenile was checked-out by medical services and released on scene.

Main Island Creek Volunteer Fire Department requested mutual aid assistance from the City of Logan Fire Department to extinguish the fire. The two departments knocked out the fire and prevented it from spreading to a near by structure.
