Fire knocked-out Monday on Elm Street in Logan

LOGAN No injuries as a result of a structure fire in the City of Logan Monday morning.

Fire crews with the City of Logan Fire Department responded just before eight o’clock Monday morning to a two story wood framed structure fire on Elm Street next to the Nazarene Church. The structure was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

Firefighters reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the structure upon arrival. A quick interior attack extinguished the flames, held the fire to only that structure and prevented surrounding structures from taking on any damage.

The city’s Fire Marshal, Chris Hatfield ruled the blaze accidental in nature and likely a wiring issue.
