It was a valiant effort from the Cinderella Herd That team, but unfortunately the clock struck midnight with Marshall alum coming up short.
The Herd That squad were one point away from victory on Monday night when their opponent, TBT veteran Team 23 player JD Sword knocked down an unbelievable 3 point shot to end the Herd's $1 million dreams. The final score was 71-74.
The Herd That team trailed most of the game but were never out of reach and played with team 23 all the way to the end. Both teams had multiple chances to win in the end, but Herd That was unable to get the victory that the home crowd so desperately wanted.
Jon Elmore led all scorers with 28 points while Logan’s own Stevie Browning had 15.
Herd That may have fallen short but already have their eyes on next years Tournament.
