NAUGATUCK Kaden Hale scored 18 points and was one of three Panthers to score in double figures as third-ranked and top seed Tug Valley defeated Man 78-35 Wednesday night in the Class A Region IV Section 1 tournament.
Buddy Marcum finished with a double-double adding 13 points and 10 rebounds and Braydun Ferris added 13 points for Tug Valley (17-6).
The Panthers will host Tolsia in Friday's Class A Region IV Section I championship at Tug Valley High School with the right to host one of two Class A Region IV championship games on Tuesday.
Trey Ward led Man in scoring with 11 points, Jacob Endicott and Blake Hicks each had six points for the Hillbillies, who was eliminated from postseason play and finished the year 7-17.
