Investigation underway following fatal crash in Boone County

FOSTERVILLE  A two-vehicle crash resulted in one death this morning in Boone County.

According to Boone County dispatchers, a call came in shortly after six o'clock Friday morning with reports of a crash on Route 3 in the Fosterville area.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Office says it was a two-vehicle, head-on collision. Despite life-saving efforts from first responders, authorities say one of the drivers was pronounced dead. The driver of the other vehicle was treated at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital.

The Racine Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. An investigation is currently ongoing with the Boone County Sheriff’s Office.
