MAN A 10-2 second quarter by the Sherman Lady Tide gave them a seven-point halftime advantage.

A 10-2 third quarter by Man flipped the script and was the difference in the Lady Hillbillies 36-35 victory Friday night at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse.

Playing without two starters, Kami Anderson and Jace Baisden, coach Brad Copeland’s Lady Hillbillies held a 9-8 lead after one quarter before the Lady Tide held Man to just one second quarter field goal while connecting on five of their own to take an 18-11 lead into the locker room.

Jenna Baisden scored nine of her game-high 15 points in the second half while Tori Honaker scored six of her seven points in the second half to fuel Man’s comeback.

The third quarter was a near carbon copy of the second quarter, only this time it was Man holding Sherman to just one field goal while outscoring the Lady Tide 10-2 in the third stanza.

Summer Harvey had eight points and Annika Roop five to lead Sherman.

Sherman falls to 7-7 and was scheduled to travel to Meadow Bridge on Saturday afternoon before returning home Monday to host Cross Lanes Christian.

Man, who started the season 1-7, has won three of its last five games and improved to 4-9.

The Lady Hillbillies are not scheduled to return to the court until Feb. 6 when they host River View, however, Man and Sherman are discussing the possibility of adding a second game later this week.

Man has added three additional games to its schedule as they travel to Phelps (KY) on Feb. 7, travel to Meadow Bridge on Feb. 10 and return home to host Phelps on Feb. 14.
