FAIRMONT A second quarter run fueled by a trio of Lady Wildcat double figure scorers led Class AA No. 8 ranked Logan past Philip Barbour 59-34 Saturday afternoon in the East Fairmont Classic at East Fairmont High School.
With the win, Logan won its second straight game and improved to 7-4 on the season.
The Lady Wildcats led 16-9 after one quarter, but outscored the Colts 18-6 in the second quarter to take a commanding 19-point lead, 34-15, at halftime.
Addyson Amick led Logan with 20 points. Jaycee Blair and Halle Crouse each had 12 points. The trio combined for 28 of Logan's 34 first half points and 14 of the Lady Wildcats 16 first quarter points.
Izzy Knotts led Philip Barbour (3-6) with 13 points. Taitem Jeffries had six, Ansley Bolyard and Haley Carpenter each scored five, Leann Moss four and Reagan Wright one for the Colts.
Jayden Meade scored eight, Bam Mosby five and Camryn Harvey two for Logan.
