LHS HOF 2021 Announced


Logan High School's 2021 Athletic Hall of Fame class has been announced.

Aaron Oliver (class of 1995), Michael Murphy (class of 1964) and Alisa Meade (class of 1986) will be inducted and honored Thursday evening at the hall of fame banquet at the Logan Country Club.


Mike Murphy played football, ran track and was also a boxer in the early sixties. He won the West Virginia Golden Gloves the year after he graduated. He was co-captain of the ’64 Logan Wildcats and was selected to represent the state against Ky. and Va. in high school all-star games. He was named co-captain of the 1964 Logan football team.


Alisa Meade was part of the first Logan Softball Championship team in 1986. Meade played second base and was named All-State and All-Tournament. She also played basketball and was named All-County and received an Honorable Mention All-State 1985.


Aaron Oliver was a baseball player noted for hitting the first homerun at Gertz Field. Oliver was named to the All-State baseball team in 1993, 1994 and 1995. He was a member of the 1994 Class AAA State Championship team and class valedictorian.


The inductees will also be recognized Friday night before the home game between the Wildcats and the Sissonville Indians. Kickoff is set for 7 o’clock. WVOW’s coverage will begin at 6:50 p.m.
