The Logan County Board of Education unanimously approved a two-year extension for County School Superintendent Patricia Lucas.
Lucas began her tenure as superintendent in 2016. She like most county superintendents has been dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak.
Lucas addressed board members and said the school administration has learned to adapt with abrupt changes.
“When the Governor has something to say,” Lucas said, “we hear it when everyone else hears it. And we have to make those adjustments.”
Last week, Governor Justice announced the return of in person instruction five days a week for elementary and middle schools on January 19.
