The Logan County Health Department confirmed one death associated with COVID-19 Friday.
Health Department Director Steve Browning said an 86-year-old male succumbed to the virus. Twenty-seven people in the county have died from complications due to coronavirus.
As of 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, 15 new cases of the virus have been confirmed through laboratory testing.
Logan County has 147 active cases of the virus, 314 recoveries, and 27 fatalities for a cumulative total of 488 cases of the virus.
Thirty-four people are hospitalized.
A total of 39 new cases have been confirmed to WVOW News since Friday, August 21.
