Logan County man accused of kidnapping, firing gun inside residence

A Logan County man is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly holding a woman against her will and firing a gun inside a residence.

STOLLINGS West Virginia State Police said the incident happened Sunday at a home on Statzer Drive in the Stollings area.

According to troopers, a woman told investigators she had gone to the home to help 48-year-old Arnold Gillman clean. Afterward, the pair allegedly used narcotics before Gillman became aggressive and refused to let her leave.

The woman told police Gillman threatened her with both a knife and a firearm before allegedly firing a shot into a wall inside the home.

Gillman is charged with kidnapping, use of a firearm during the commission of a felony, wanton endangerment, domestic battery, domestic assault, brandishing, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a residence and driving under the influence.

He was booked Sunday into the Southwestern Regional Jail, where he remains on a $110,000 cash-only bond.
