Logan COVID-19 cases on the rise with 70 active cases, 17 discovered over the weekend


The Logan County Health Department confirmed seventeen new COVID-19 infections Monday.

The seventeen new infections of the virus were confirmed through laboratory testing as of Monday afternoon. A total of 42 cases of the virus were confirmed last week.


Health Department Director Steve Browning confirmed an additional death on Friday. A 77-year-old male died due to complications from the coronavirus. Since the onset of the outbreak, 88 Logan Countians have succumbed to COVID-19.


Logan County has 70 active cases, 2,961 recoveries and 88 fatalities for a cumulative total of 3,119 cases of COVID-19.


Six people remain hospitalized.
