Logan Lady Wildcats advance to State Semi Finals

The Logan Lady Wildcats took the court in Charleston late Wednesday evening for the final quarter final matchup in the AAA state tournament and they made a statement.


The Wildcats took control early, never looked back leading the entire game and defeated the Lady Panthers 61-30.


Logan was led by the strong play of Abbie Myers and Peyton Ilderton as the Wildcats took a 29-15 lead into the locker room at halftime.


The third quarter was more of the same as Logan went on a 19-6 run to finish the period and lead 48–21 at the start of the fourth.


Wildcats cruised on to the State semi-finals where the #4 seeded Lady Cats will take on the #1 seeded Lady Polar Bears of Fairmont Senior on Friday. WVOW's coverage begins at 7:15 p.m.

The Wildcats were led by Myers who finished with 20 points and seven steals and Ilderton who had sixteen points, four assists and four steals. Senior Jill Toth added in six points and Raegan Quick knocked in nine. Emma Elkins played big minutes defensively for the Lady Cats as she finished with six rebounds and two steals of her own.
