Logan Lions host cleanup day in Logan

WVOW News

LOGAN  Near fifty bags of trash, carpet padding and a shampooer all recovered from the new Route 10 between Logan and Man over the weekend.

The Logan Lions Club hosted a cleanup day on the new road Saturday. According to social media post from the civic organization, volunteers collected and removed forty-nine bags of garbage. Along with the bags of trash, Lions say an entire room of carpeting, the underneath padding and a shampooer were all found beside the road.

The Lions say the great turn out enabled them to pick up on both sides of the highway from the bridge going out of Logan to a spot near the Ralph R Willis Vocational School Road turn-off.

The club says they plan to have another cleanup day next month. Their next meeting is Tuesday at six o’clock at the First Presbyterian Church on Stratton Street in Logan.
