Logan man sentence to 5 years for distribution of meth

CHARLESTON A Logan County man was sentenced Wednesday, May twelfth to five years and three months in prison for possession with intent to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine.


According to federal documents and statements made in court, 37-year-old Brian Knox, 37, of Logan, admitted that he possessed the approximately 79 grams of methamphetamine found by law enforcement officers carrying out a search warrant at the Knox’s Cross Lanes residence back on January 26, 2021.


Knox admitted he intended to sell the drugs and also admitted to selling approximately 1 ounce of methamphetamine weekly between December 2020 and January 2021.


Knox’s five years in prison will be followed by five years of supervised release
