Logan rolls to 27-point win at Lincoln County

HAMLIN Logan won its fourth straight game Wednesday night defeating Lincoln County 65-38.


The Wildcats, ranked seventh in Class AAA, finished the season with a perfect 6-0 record against Class AAA Region 4 Section 2 competition.


Logan will be the top seed in next week's section tournament and will open tournament at home on Tuesday night against Lincoln County while second seed Wayne will host third seed Scott in Tuesday's other tournament semifinals.


The two winners will meet on March 1 and the sectional champion will host one of two Class AAA Region 4 championship games on March 6.


Julius Clancy led Logan with 22 points and Cole Blankenship added 16 points.


Aydin Shaffer led Lincoln County with 12 points and Eli Smith had 11 points.


Wyatt Edwards had seven points, Dakota Wood six and Greyson Ellis two to round out the scoring for Lincoln County (6-16).


Logan (12-9) got seven points from Matt Hatfield, six each from McCormick Ilderton and Ivan Miller and four each from Devin Maynard and Zayden Sherod.
