MAN   A long second quarter field goal drought plagued Man Thursday night as the Hillbillies feel to Belfry (KY) 53-34 at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse.

After a first quarter, which featured three ties and one lead change, Man trailed Belfry 15-14.

A second quarter 3-pointer from Trey Ward gave Man a 17-15 lead with 5:59 to play before halftime, however, Man would not make another shot or score another point in the next 8:16 and found itself trailing 35-20 with 5:43 to play in the third quarter when Noah Frazier drained a 3 to end the scoring drought.

The 18-0 Belfry run was too much for the Hillbillies to overcome as the Pirates built a lead as big as 23 points in the fourth quarter.

Belfry improved to 9-20 with win and will face Phelps Monday night the 60th District Tournament Semifinals at Pike Central High School.

Carter Jude led Belfry with 11 points, Bryce Hage added 10 points and Makaden Maynard and Zaden Rash each had nine points.

Man was led in scoring by Frazier, who had a game-high 14 points, Jake Endicott had nine points and Ward five for the Hillbillies.
