CHAPMANVILLE Peyton Lusk tossed a five inning three-hitter and had two hits and drove in two as Class AAA No. 7 Chapmanville snapped a two-game losing streak with a 9-1 mercy rule win over Wyoming East Thursday evening at Ronnie "Mule" Ooten Field.
Chloe Murphy had three hits including a double and drove in two runs and Hannah Miller added two hits and one RBI for Chapmanville (5-3).
Lusk allowed one run and three hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
Kendra Cook, Carlee Rollins and Victoria Smith each had one hit for Wyoming East (3-6) and Carli Raye pitched 4 2/3 innings allowing nine runs on 12 hits with three walks and one strikeout.
Evy Altizer, Brooke Christian and Mady Farley had one hit and one RBI each and Charity Atwood and Lakin Parks had one hit each for Chapmanville.
