MAN Jenna Baisden broke the school record for 3-pointers in a game on Saturday, knocking down 11 in Man’s 84-64 loss to Westside Saturday afternoon at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse.
Baisden’s officially surpassed Caleb Blevins, who set the previous record of 10 3-pointers on January 22, 2020 against Cross Lanes Christian, with here 11th and final 3-pointer in the fourth quarter.
Following her record setting 3, the game was stopped so Baisden could be honored for her accomplishments.
Despite the record setting performance and Baisden’s career-high 44 points, Westside led from the onset leading by as many as 30 points in its 14th win of the season.
Rylee Brown, Karsyn Painter, Sarah Lilly and Kaitlyn Lester combined for 55 of Westside’s 84 points.
Brown led the way with 17 points, Painter added 15 points, Lilly had 12 and Lester 11 to give the Lady Renegades four double-figure scorers.
Kenzie Morgan narrowly missed double figures finishing with nine points for Westside.
Basiden and Megan McCoy, who finished with 17 points, combined to score 61 of the Lady Hillbillies 64 points Saturday afternoon. Braylee Thompson had two points and Jace Baisden finished with one.
Westside improved to 14-6 with the win and will host Logan Monday evening.
Man fell to 1-16 with the loss and will host Class A No. 8 River View on Monday before closing out the regular season Thursday at Westside.
