A McDowell County man faces multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from officers.
22-year-old Kobe Brown of Havaco reportedly led police in a short foot pursuit Sunday in the Havaco area near Welch.
According to a news release, the officers had conducted a stop when he took off.
Officers reported they found drugs and firearms when he was taken into custody.
Brown is charged with fleeing on foot, obstructing an officer, several counts of possession with intent to deliver and possession of a firearm while in commission of a felony.
He was arraigned in McDowell County Magistrate Court and transported to Southwestern Regional Jail, where he is being held on a $97,000 bond.
