Mingo Central holds Man to lowest point total since 2017

MAN Mingo Central held Class A No. 6 Man to its lowest point total since 2017 in a 55-21 victory Tuesday night at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse.


The 21 points was the fewest for Man since they scored 29 in a sectional loss to Logan on Feb. 25, 2017.


The Hillbillies were held to just nine field goals and turned the ball over 26 times and had their 16 game home court winning streak snapped.


Man’s last home loss was on Feb. 21, 2020, when they were defeated by Huntington St. Joe’s 62-53.


Mingo Central never trailed in the contest and led by as many 36 points in the fourth quarter.


Jake Cline led Mingo Central with 14 points. Ethan Thomson had 11 and Malaki Sheppard nine for the Miners.


Colton Miller led Man with seven points while Chris Isaacs had six and Devon Sanders six for the Hillbillies.
