A deadly shooting was reported in Mingo County.
The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday along Topaz Lane.
41-year-old Steven Wolford of Gilbert was reportedly shot several times. He was alive but unresponsive when first responders arrived.
Wolford was flown to Pikeville Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Investigators say the shooter was a man from Delbarton who was reportedly acting in self-defense.
That man has not been charged in connection with the shooting.
