Mingo Deputies Search For Catalytic Converter Thieves

WILLIAMSON, WVa The Mingo County Sheriff’s Department is looking to the public for help identifying weekend thieves.


A social media post by the department alleged three white males stole a total of seven catalytic converters from Asplundh trucks Sunday morning along US 119.


Deputies said the theft occurred between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Moreover, the suspects were traveling in a silver Kia Optima in the direction of Logan.


Police said one of the suspects has a neck tattoo that says “Smitty.”
