Mother Arrested For Heroin, Marijuana & Child Neglect


A mother was arrested while allegedly attempting to inject drugs.


Members of the U.S. 119 Drug Task and the Logan County Sheriff’s Department Drug Interdiction Team were executing a search warrant in the Bruno area Thursday.


Police say they observed the defendant, Kendra Walker, attempting to inject a syringe into her arm containing a substance purported to be heroin. A container with heroin and a baggy of marijuana were also discovered during the search, according to a social media news release from the sheriff’s office.


Child Protection Services were contacted because Walker’s five year old son was home during the search of the residence. According to police, Walker said she brought the child to the residence the night before the search.


Walker was charged with possession of a controlled substance for heroin and Marijuana. Moreover, Walker was also charged with child neglect creating risk of injury.
