New Traffic Pattern On Island This Week Due To Tennis Tournament


The West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission Regional Tennis Tournament will be hosted by Logan High School this week.


Traffic and parking changes will go into effect Thursday morning to accommodate the twelve teams competing and the large number of spectators anticipated to attend.


Traffic on the island will not permitted to circle behind Logan High School beginning Thursday morning at 7 o’clock and will continue Friday morning at 7 a.m.


All Logan High, Logan Middle and Logan Elementary schools’ buses will load and unload in front of the high school


All students that drive to school will be directed to park in the high school’s main lot. The parking lot by the tennis courts will be utilized for the tournament. Logan High students are prohibited from parking at the middle school or grade school.


Tournament play will begin Thursday and Friday mornings at 8 o’clock.
