One arrested in connection to Chief Logan Lodge shooting

LOGAN A shooting at the Chief Logan Lodge Sunday hospitalized a man and sent another man to jail.


West Virginia State Troopers are investigating a Sunday morning shooting at the lodge inside Chief Logan State Park.


State Police report 21-year-old Tyler Topping, of Jefferson City, Tenn., was found shot multiple times around 2 o’clock Sunday morning.


Troopers identified a suspect in the shooting as 19-year-old Christopher Mullins of Chapmanville, according to Metro News.


Mullins was charged with malicious wounding and wanton endangerment with a firearm. Bail was set at $100,000.


Topping survived the shooting and is being treated at Charleston Area Medical Center.
