One dead after head-on crash in Boone County

MADISON A Charleston woman is dead following a two-car crash near Madison in Boone County.
Madison Volunteer Fire Department says the crash occurred in the Price Hill area on Route 85 around 9:30 Friday night.
According to the West Virginia State Police a driver and passenger traveling north in the southbound collided head-on with another vehicle.
State Police said both drivers were taken to Boone Memorial Hospital but the passenger, identified as 34-year-old Linzy Nicole Spears of Charleston, died at the scene.
Driver impairment is suspected, according to troopers.
