Police have not yet released the identity of the victim killed Monday afternoon in Boone County when a UTV was struck by a passenger vehicle along US 119 while attempting to cross the southbound lanes

DANVILLE One person was killed Monday in a two-vehicle crash involving a side-by-side and a passenger vehicle in Boone County.

According to the West Virginia Department of Transportation, the victim was driving the UTV and attempting to cross U.S. 119 South when the collision occurred at the intersection with Prichard Road south of the Danville area. The crash was reported before 3 p.m. Monday.

WVDOT officials and law enforcement are investigating the incident. The identity of the victim has not been released.
