The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 953 new cases of COVID-19.
As of 10 o’clock Wednesday morning, West Virginia has 11,172 active cases of coronavirus.
Since the onset of the outbreak, 612 West Virginians have succumbed to the virus. Fourteen deaths were reported in the last 24-hours.
Today’s daily positive infection rate is 5.66%.
According to the state DHHR color-coded map released this morning, McDowell County is in the “yellow” category.
Logan, Lincoln, Mingo and Wyoming counties are gold.
Boone and Wayne counties are orange.
West Virginia has 36,277 cumulative cases of coronavirus.
