Pizza Hut At Danville Damaged By Friday Night Fire

DANVILE, WVa A fire Friday night has closed a Boone County restaurant for the time being.

Nearly all the fire departments in the county responded to the Pizza Hut on Smoot Avenue Friday evening. Smoke and flames were visible when fire crews arrived before 7 p.m.

An employee evacuated the building after smelling smoke. No injuries were reported and everyone was out of the building before the roof collapsed.

The cause of the fire is unknown but the West Virginia Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.

The franchise owners have told news outlets they plan to rebuild.
