CHAPMANVILLE Logan rallied from a 3-1 fourth inning deficit with three runs in the fourth and six runs in the fifth and held off a late rally to defeat Wyoming East 10-6 in the CRHS Lady Tigers Invitational Saturday evening at Ronnie “Mule” Ooten Field.
It was the second win of the season for Logan, who handed Wyoming East its third straight loss and third loss in the CRHS Lady Tigers Invitational.
The Lady Warriors lost to Chapmanville, 6-3, Friday evening and were mercy ruled by Herbert Hoover, 15-1, Saturday morning.
Wyoming East jumped out to a 2-0 lead after one inning before Logan closed the gap to one, 2-1, with a run in the second. The Lady Warriors scored a run in the top of the fourth before Logan took the lead with a three-run fourth.
The Lady Wildcats crossed the plate six times in the fifth and held a commanding 10-3 lead before the Lady Warriors plated three runs in the sixth inning to cut to the deficit to four, 10-6, after six innings.
It would be as close as Wyoming East would get however as Logan was able to hold off the victory.
Emilee Mullins had a pair of doubles and drove in three runs while Lacy Curry had three hits and scored two runs for Logan. Taylor Noe had one hit, scored three times and drove in one run while Chloe Bryant and Isabella Propst each had one hit and one RBI and Harlee Quick had one hit for the Lady Wildcats.
Savannah Brehem had three hits and one RBI while Makayla King had two hits and drove in a run for Wyoming East. The Lady Warriors two hits each from Cadence Clay, Alivia Monroe and Lexi Wikel and got run-scoring hits from Kayley Bane and Maddie Clark.
Andrea Laxton, Paige Laxton and Olivia Hylton each had a hit as every player in the lineup had at least one hit for the Lady Warriors.
Chloe Bryant picked up the win in the circle for Logan. She allowed five runs on 13 hits, struck out three and walked one in 5 1/3 innings. Harlee Quick allowd one run on three hits and struck out two in 1 2/3 innings of relief for the Lady Wildcats.
Hylton suffered the loss in the circle for Wyoming East after allowing 10 runs, seven earned, over six innings. She struck out six and walked four.

Man 17, Ritchie County 12 In the nightcap, Man squandered an early five-run lead, giving up nine runs in the fourth inning before scoring 10 runs in the bottom of the fourth as the Lady Hillbillies defeated Ritchie County to remain undefeated.
Jacklyn Barnett had the big stick for Man, collecting four hits and driving in two runs. Trista Marcum had three hits and three RBIs, Kiersten Ellis collected three hits and drove in a pair of runs and McKinlee Cline had one hit and two RBIs for the Lady Hillbillies.
Man also got two hits and one RBI each from Morgan Cooper and Ashlee Tomblin. Olivia Ramsey had one hit and one RBI while Baylee Muncy drove in two runs and Zoey Jackson one run as every Man player in the lineup drove in at least one and seven of the nine starters recorded at least one hit.
Ritchie County got two hits and two RBIs from Marissa Jeffrey. Kila Frymier had two hits and drove in one run while Olivia Dodd, Jayci Gray and Lillian Monn each had one hit and one RBI and Chaslyn Jones and Kiarra Weekley drove in a run each for the Lady Rebels.
Cooper was the winning pitcher for Man while Marcum picked up the save. Cooper allowed nine runs, one earned, on eight hits in four innings of work. She struck out eight, walked three and hit two batters. Marcum pitched the final three innings and was credited with a save. Marcum allowed three runs on one hit struck out three, walked three and hit two batters.
Monn gave up 17 runs, 13 earned runs, on 16 hits in six innings in the loss. She struck out two and walked three for Ritchie County.
