Sherman hands Man third straight loss

SETH Andrew Simpson scored 18 points and Logan Baldwin added 17 as Sherman jumped out to an early first quarter lead to defeat Man 55-43 Tuesday night at Sherman High School.


Sherman (12-10) secured the third seed in next week's Class A Region 4 Section 1 tournament and will travel to second seeded Tolsia February 28.


Man (6-15) will be the fourth seed and host fifth seed Van, Monday night with the winner advancing to face top seed and Class A No. 2 Tug Valley on February 28.


Jake Endicott led Man with a game-high 23 points.


Rounding out the scoring for Sherman was Bryce Mills with eight points, Luke Tagliente had seven, Gerald Lester three points and Shane Ring finished with two points.


Trey Ward finished with nine points, Devon Sanders six, Noah Frazier three and Micah Goble two points to round out the scoring for the Hillbillies.
