Southern Wes Virginia Community and Technical College will host a food distribution event this Wednesday (May 26) in Boone County.
Food boxes will be distributed at the old Magic Mart location in Danville between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Southern is partnering with the City of Madison, the Town of Danville and Boone Memorial Hospital to giveaway 1,200 food boxes.
The food is part of an effort called Farmers to Families.
The food is free to all in need.
