Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College will host trunk-or-treat events on the Logan and Williamson campuses.
Southern’s employees, departments, and organizations will be joined by other groups in the community to offer a one-stop trick or treating bonanza. Southern is encouraging all the groups participating to go all out by offering prizes to the best-decorated vehicles.
In addition to all the vehicles, Southern will have an information station set up passing out new Halloween merchandise, T-shirts, and more.
“This is a perfect opportunity for our college to reach out to our local community and do something fun,” Director of Communications Bill France said. “The kids really missed out on this holiday last year and we want to help make up for that.”
The trunk-or-treat will be held on Thursday, October 28 between 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the parking lots of the Logan Campus and Williamson Campus.
The trunk-or- treat is the culminating activity for Southern’s Halloween Spooktacular. The local college is holding door decorating contests, games, contests, and costume contests for students and employees earlier in the day.
