Southern West Virginia Community and Technical College will host two community food distribution events this month – one in Boone County and one in Lincoln County.
The next distribution will be in Lincoln County on May 18th at Lincoln High School starting at noon.
The Boone County distribution will be held May 26th from 11 am to 2 pm at the old Magic Mart location in Danville. Southern is partnering with the City of Madison, the Town of Danville, and Boone Memorial Hospital.
There will be two large, refrigerated trucks, each containing 1,200 boxes of food in Boone County and Lincoln County. The food comes through an effort called Farmers to Families.
The food is free to all who need a box.
