LOGAN Holden road was closed for about an hour due to a structure fire early Monday morning.
According to the Cora Volunteer Fire Department, Holden Road was shut down before six o’clock Monday morning due to an abandoned apartment fire next to the road between the former Rich Station and Walgreens locations. According to Cora VFD Engineer Tyler Browning, the fire was most likely set by squatters since the building has no power connection.
No injuries reported. The fire is under investigation by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Cora and Verdunville Volunteer Fire Departments and the Logan Emergency Ambulance Authority responded to the blaze.
