NITRO Brooklyn Cawley had four 3-pointer, finishing with a team-high 16 points as Class AAA No 3 Nitro defeated Logan 57-39 Saturday afternoon at Alumni Gym.
Ava Edwards added 11 points, Natalie Smith had seven points and Bri Gibson six points for Nitro, who improved to 11-3 on the season and snapped Logan’s two-game winning streak.
Halle Crouse had a game-high 17 points to lead Logan, who had won four of its last five games entering Saturday afternoon’s Cardinal Conference matchup. Addyson Amick had 12 points, Bam Mosby finished with six points and Kinley Steele four to round out the scoring for Logan.
Mika Adams and Jaycee Sigmon each had five points, Kendra Steele finished with three points and Makynzie Casto and Hailey Newsome each had two points for Nitro, who has four of its last five games and 11 of 14 overall.
