Thousands of power outages were reported throughout the Coalfields after high winds and heavy storms rolled through overnight.
According to appalachianpower.com, Boone County reported 583; Lincoln County reported 1628 outages; in Logan County, 412 customers are in the dark; Mingo County reported 791 outages; in McDowell County, 41 customers are in the dark; in Wayne County, 1428 customers are without power; and in Wyoming County, 135 outages were reported.
As of press time, most situations are still being assessed and no estimated restoration times have been shared.
