Two in critical condition after stabbing in Logan County

LOGAN COUNTY Deputies in Logan County are investigating a stabbing that left two men critically injured Friday morning.

According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to Crooked Creek Road near Logan just after 8:15 a.m. for a reported stabbing. When they arrived, they found three people with laceration injuries: two males and one female.

Investigators say an altercation occurred prior to the stabbing, though the motive remains under investigation. Both men were transported to Logan Regional Medical Center, where they are listed in critical condition. The woman at the scene declined medical treatment.

Authorities say the identities of those involved are still being confirmed and will be released at a later time.

The West Virginia State Police Crime Scene Team responded and is processing the area, collecting evidence, and documenting the scene. Officials say the scene has been secured and the investigation remains ongoing. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
