Williamson police are investigating a Thursday night shooting on Vinson Street and Joseph Avenue that left two men injured after multiple shots were fired. Authorities say a firearm was recovered at the scene, and while no arrests have been made, a warrant is expected as the investigation continues.

WILLIAMSON  Police are investigating a Thursday night shooting in Williamson that left two men injured.


According to the Williamson Police Department, officers were called to Vinson Street and Joseph Avenue around eight o’clock Thursday night for shots-fired.


Police say multiple rounds had been fired in the area and two men were transported to a local hospital. According to MetroNews, the two were treated and released.


Authorities also confirmed a firearm was recovered at the scene.


At this time, investigators say it’s still unclear what led up to the shooting. However, police say a warrant is expected to be issued for at least one person in the coming days as the investigation continues. No arrests have been made.
