CHAPMANVILLE Emergency crews responded to a serious two-vehicle crash with entrapment late Saturday this afternoon along U.S. 119 at Trace Fork Road.


The call came in around 4:09 p.m., with first responders arriving to find at least one vehicle with occupants trapped inside. Fire crews worked to quickly extricate the victims and provide medical care until the Logan Emergency Ambulance Service Authority arrived on scene.


With assistance from the Danville Volunteer Fire Department, a landing zone was set up on U.S. 119 for Air Evac to transport the injured.


The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office and the West Virginia State Police. There is currently no update on patients’ conditions.
