Vaccine Mixed Up With Antibody Injection In Boone Co.

No harm is expected to come to 42 people in Boone County who received the Regeneron Antibody product rather than the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine last Wednesday.

The residents received the antibody at a clinic hosted by staff from the Boone County Health Department.

Dr. Clay Marsh, the state's COVID-19 czar, said the product administered at the Boone clinic are antibodies that fight COVID-19. He said it is the same injection President Trump received to fight the virus.

In a press release, the West Virginia National Guard said no other individuals were administered the antibody in place of the vaccine at any point in the state and no other vaccine shipments before Wednesday or going forward are affected.
