An Omar man received quite the surprise Tuesday night when a car collided with his home.
Fortunately for homeowner David Vance, he wasn’t home at the time.
The vehicle was traveling north on US Route 44 at the time of the crash in the upper Omar area. At approximately 7:30 p.m., the auto veered off the road and punctured completely through the rear broadside of the mobile home to the front.
The vehicle came to a stop on a fence line.
The 16-year-old driver was uninjured.
The cause of the crash is undetermined.
Main Island Creek Volunteer Fire Department, L.E.A.S.A and Logan Sheriff’s Department responded.
