Verdunville Grade closed all week following slide at school

VERDUNVILLE A Logan County school closed again following a small landslide that occurred directly behind the school.
That slide happened back on Wednesday last week at Verdunville Elementary School. The slide closed school the rest of the day Wednesday. It also called off school on Thursday and Friday. Now Verdunville will be closed all of this week.
According to a post from Logan County Schools, the district anticipates being able to return to school on April 29th following spring break.
A geotechnical engineer inspected the site on Thursday. A full report is pending, according to the school district.
Children attending Verdunville Elementary School, we will have two breakfasts and two lunches on Tuesday and again on Thursday. These meals will be available for pick-up in the parking lot of the Verdunville Church of God between 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
If you wish to receive the meals for your children, call the school before noon Monday, April 14th to notify the school that you want meals.
All staff is working at the school site this week.
