The Town of West Logan’s filing period for residents to declare their candidacies began this week.
An election for town government will take place this summer. Mayor, town clerk and the council are all up for election this year.
Potential candidates must complete a certificate of announcement by contacting the Town Clerk at 304-752-6550. Official election forms may be mailed but must be postmarked before the end of the filing period.
The last day for filing candidate papers to be included in the West Logan Municipal Election is Saturday, January 30th.
There is a $5 filing fee for seeking office.
The election will be conducted June 8th.
