An investigation by the West Virginia Office of Insurance Commission, accuses 53-year-old Wayne Runyon several felony charges including Computer Fraud, Fraudulent Insurance Acts, Fraudulent Schemes and Obtaining Money by False Pretenses.

A criminal complaint filed in Logan County Magistrate court alleges problems started back in January 2023. An insurance client of Runyon’s alleges two checks totaling $20,000 were issued to Runyon for insurance annuities for the client’s son.

According to the complaint, the insurance policies purchased were never actualized and no attempt to pay back the money.
