The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reported 1,452 new cases of COVID-19.
As of 10 o’clock Wednesday morning, West Virginia has 24,433 active cases of coronavirus.
Since the onset of the outbreak, 1,318 West Virginians have succumbed to COVID-19. Thirty-four people died in the last 24 hours.
Today’s daily positive infection rate is 11.68%.
According to the color-coded map released today, only Calhoun County is green. All other counties are either red or orange.
Boone, Logan, Lincoln, Mingo, Wayne and 36 other counties are all in the red zone.
McDowell and Wyoming and 11 other counties are orange.
West Virginia has received 86,800 doses of vaccine. As of press time, 37,862 doses have been administered.
