West Virginia recoveries outpaced infections today.
According to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, 2,131 cases of the virus have been cleared for recovery. Wednesday’s update recorded 1,805 new cases of COVID-19 and a decrease in active cases for the first time since July 23.
W.Va. Has 27,674 active cases of coronavirus.
The DHHR also reported 35 more deaths due to virus complications including two males aged 88 and 58 years old. The additional deaths totals 3,296 fatalities since the outbreak started.
Hospitalizations has hit a new pandemic high with 879 patients.
